Question by harlee: What would happen if you were to shut off sex hormones in the body?

Ive heard when there are no sex hormones in the body that the person will be taller, have a higher voice, and very little body hair. Is this true? If you were to shut of all sex hormones in the body?

I am no doctor, but what I learned as a biology major is that those "sex" hormones (estrogen, testosterone, and progestrine) are not just sex hormones. Those hormones regulate EVERYthing in your body. Not just size and voice, but your metabolism, your brain function, I mean everything. If you were void of all "sex" related hormones you could be alive. Literally could not live without them to regulate every chemical assignment your body has to do to survive.
